π The Reality
Since August 2021, millions of Afghan women and girls have lost their fundamental rights. Girls are banned from school after 6th grade. Women are barred from universities, NGOs, government jobs, and most employment.
Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are banned from secondary school and university. 78% of young Afghan women are not in education, employment, or training β nearly four times the rate for young men.
Less than 7% of Afghan women have access to a bank account or financial services. Without income, without independence β many are forced into early marriage with no other options.
